We don’t normally agree with the racist-DAP since they rarely come out with good ideas.  Every time they opened their mouth, things that came out were either racist or foolish, but mostly racist.

However, we have to agree with Tony Pua, PJ Utara MP who urged the Selangor government to slash Bumiputera discounts for luxury homes and commercial property in the state.  Though it still sounded racist, but being a rational and ‘un-racist’, we have to admit that Tony does have a point there, and a good one too.

Tony argues that no discount should be given for luxury homes and commercial properties above RM1 million and RM2 million, respectively.  The policy is said to have caused many brokers taking advantage whereby the units are bought by middleman and re-sold for profit of two percent.

The cutting of the 7% Bumi discounts for luxury homes would provide a level playing field for the ‘qualified players’.   Sensibly, the Bumis who can afford to buy luxury homes and commercial properties of above RM1 million or RM2 million must surely be among the ‘qualified players’.

While many would cry out ‘foul play’ over Tony’s views or rather, suggestion, we doubt that the cries would come from the ‘qualified Bumis’ themselves.

Bumiputeras represent the majority of the poor in the country but we cannot deny the fact that there are quite a number of rich and filthy rich Bumis too.  The number may not be as high as the super rich and filthy rich non-Bumis who own most of the business in the country, but the fact that they do exists, just can’t be ignored.

The number of rich Bumis would be able to increase faster, should there be  level playing fields in the private sectors, business centers and business dealings which are being ‘racist-ly’ conquered by the non-Bumis all along.

But what more important is, we have to bear in mind is that if it doesn’t benefit the non-Bumis or the Chinese, than it is not DAP who is talking.

Who owns most of the commercial lots or buildings?  The Chinese.  Who are the developers?  Mostly Chinese, who never stop accusing Malaysia of treating them unfairly.

By cutting the discounts for Bumis on commercial properties, the Chinese would gain more since they represent most of the buyers and developers of these properties.  They have the power to push for high rent and be inconsiderate towards Bumi-owned businesses thus make it difficult for the Bumi businesses to survive.

This is a reality, and it is not a secret that they have been discriminating the Bumi-owned businesses in KLCC, Alamanda, Subang Parade, etc.

Though we may agree with Tony Pua based on the reasons given, we must never forget that DAP is a racist party and it will always be.

Tony was only thinking about the Chinese when he talked about this or everything else.  Tony or any of the DAP leaders have never have the slightest thought about the benefits or well-being of other races.

The business centers and private sectors in KL and Selangor plus the demolishment of the villages in Penang are good lessons of DAP’s racism.  But if anybody needs further lesson in DAP’s racism, he may apply for work in one of the manufacturing companies in Sungai Petani or Kulim, Kedah.  Believe me, the stinky racism can be smelled as far.

BN government has never sidelined the Chinese or they wouldn’t be the one conquering the Malaysian economy.  The Malays are not asking the government take what the Chinese have, we are merely protecting what’s left of ours.

Pakatan Rakyat, on the other hand, is fighting for “equality for all” and with Tony’s suggestion, it looks like the party is right on its track.  Maybe the Selangor state should also start considering abolishing Bumi discounts for low and medium costs properties too.

So Bravo Selangor for opening the door to a more ‘equal’ state!  The Bumis in Selangor would finally be able to see whether equality also means justice for all!

Tycoon in the soup for airport threat

A well-known Chinese community leader here is believed to be in hot water after he allegedly threatened an airline security manager that he would be kicked out of Penang.

Police are now waiting for the businessman, in his 60s, to return from Xiamen, China, on Monday, to record his statement following accusations that he intimidated the airline official by telling him that he would “never get to stay long in the state”.

The 41-year-old airline security manager lodged a police report over the incident that occurred at the Penang International Airport on Tuesday.

It is learnt that the community leader, who is a business tycoon, had refused to cooperate when he was asked to have his luggage and passport checked and verified at the check-in counter.
