" I never received any government contract all my life"

A statement made by an ex-journalist Datuk Kalimullah Hassan who is one of the richest man in the country.

The statement was made in respond to an accusation made by Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) that he is involved with the Malaysian Insider portal. JMM also accused that he is connected with VPI  International, the company which is appointed by Inland Revenue Board for the data imaging and scanning worth more than RM500 million.

JMM alleged the money received from the contract had been sponsored for Malaysian insider for slandering towards government.

Kalimullah denying the accusations that he is not involved with any companies is not a problem but claiming that he never felt any government contract is the greatest joke to be heard from the rich man.

It is no secret that former Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi loved Kalimullah so much. Kalimullah is also Pak Lah's son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin best friend.

That is how most of goverment projects fell on Kalimullah lap directly or indirectly.

The most controversial project was when the government approved the license of ECM-Libra to formed a bank in the country. The owner of ECM-Libra is Kalimullah while the director is Khairy.

Kalimullah also have a strong influence in the government. It is proven after a major company Avenue Assets merged with ECM-Libra which the share value is low in the market.

The share value of Avenue Assets was purposely decreased in order fot the ECM-Libra to be in control.

The merger resulted the company new entity is RM840 million in share holders fund. The new entity cost more RM500 million, the condition given by National Bank to set up a bank

Kalimullah really wanted to form a bank because with it, the bank can received a deposit and fund easier through monetary.

Commercial bank and discounted house is a competition for bank license.

Before the merger announcement, Avenue Capital already qualified for the bank license and the company already applied for it.

The merger is a fast track for ECM Libra to obtained the bank license.

However, Kalimullah denied that he ever benefited from the government.

Not enough with the bank, Kalimullah along with former NST chief editor Brendan Pereira, former The Star chief editor Datuk Wong Su Long, Cheah Che Kong, Sheikh Akmal and former of a private television senior officer formed a media consultant company called Fox Media.

Fox Media had been approved to become consultant for Economy Planning Unit (EPU), Sime Darby Berhad and the corridor formed by Pak Lah.

All the projects received is either with the assistance of Pak Lah or through the effort of Prime Minister's office 4th floor.

In the latest development, a new American technology called Nano had been approved by the cabinet to curb the smuggling and missused of diesel subsidy. The technoloy will be applied nationwide as soon as possible.

The technology are used in many developing countries. Nano is a liquid called marker. The liquid will be mix into the oil tank for it to be tested, whether it is a subsidised diesel.

Kalimullah will also benefit from the technology or maybe not, because he claimed that he never benefited from the government in his entire life.

Is it right Datuk?

What a laugh, hahahahahahahah......!

Respect The Professionalism Of The Police Force

The “Thirteen Million Ringgit Question”: Isn’t that Home Minister interfering into Police work? Aren’t directives supposed to come from the Police Force hierrachy; i.e. the IGP instead of the Home Minister? Does that statement explains that the Police Force (at operational level) receives ‘directives’ from the Home Minister?

There is a chain of command in the Police Force. The Home Minister supposed to be the head of policy making in the Home Ministry. Means that he sets the strategic direction to the Police Force. That will then be translated by the IGP to his officers and men and women at the operational level.

This is also about accountability. The IGP is accountable for the Police Force. What will happen if the Home Minister starts to dictate the operations of the Police Force, at the State Contigent or District level? Will the OCPD, CPO, Directors of Divisions and IGP be accountable on ‘directives’ that comes from the Home Minister?

The Police Force is supposed to be professional in carrying out their duties in policing and enforcing the law. The must not and should not ever be seen as an ‘extended arm’ of the political masters. The Police Force in return must be accountable in the decisions taken on managing the law enforcement work, as per provided under the Police Act, which was enacted in 1967.
